CZ: Mind:Freqnz, vlastním jménem Daniel Trojan, je drum&bassový DJ z Prahy, který se na naší elektronické scéně poprvé objevil v roce 2014. S hudbou, především s DnB, přišel do styku mnohem dříve. Zpočátku hrál spíše na soukromých akcích, a až v roce 2017 vystoupil poprvé před „cizími“ lidmi v klubu. Více pozornosti na scéně získal po výhře v Storm DNB Kombatu s pražskou crew Snare Junkies v roce 2021. Zlomový okamžik v jeho kariéře přišel v roce 2022 po vydání videosetu se Zigi SC z vyprodaného mejdanu s Koven ve Storm Club Prague. V posledních letech jste ho mohli v rámci zrušeného projektu Beast:freqnz slyšet po celé ČR a v okolních státech Evropy.
Jeho styl mixu se vyznačuje dynamickým střídáním doubledropů, kde v setech hraje hodně bootlegů, remixů a to nejlepší z aktuálního neurofunku. Jeho vzorem v DJingu je britský producent a DJ A.M.C., takže v jeho setech často kombinuje více subžánrů drum&bassu, ale nejblíže má k tvrdšímu subžánru, a to k neurofunku.
Aktuálně se můžeš těšit na velkou řadu zajímavých mixů s ostatními českými a světovými DJs na platformách SoundCloud a YouTube. V roce 2025 plánuje vydat první track vlastní produkce.
Tím, že festival Let It Roll navštěvuje již od svých prvních kontaktů s drum&bassem, je pro něj přijetí do LiR bookingu srdcovou záležitostí.
EN: Mind:Freqnz, whose real name is Daniel Trojan, is a drum & bass DJ from Prague who first appeared on our electronic scene in 2014. However, he came into contact with music, particularly DnB, much earlier. Initially, he played mostly at private events, and it wasn’t until 2017 that he performed for the first time in front of a „foreign“ audience in a club. He gained more attention on the scene after winning the Storm DNB Combat with the Prague crew Snare Junkies in 2021. A pivotal moment in his career came in 2022 after the release of a videoset with Zigi SC from a sold-out party with Koven at Storm Club Prague. In recent years, you could hear him throughout the Czech Republic and neighboring European countries as part of the now-defunct project Beast:freqnz.
His mixing style is characterized by dynamic switching of doubledrops, where he plays a lot of bootlegs, remixes, and the best of current neurofunk. His role model in DJing is British producer and DJ A.M.C., so in his sets, he often combines multiple sub-genres of drum & bass, but he is closest to the harder subgenre of neurofunk.
Currently, you can look forward to a wide range of interesting mixes with other Czech and international DJs on platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube. In 2025, he plans to release his first track of original production.
Having attended the Let It Roll festival since his first contact with drum & bass, being accepted into the LiR booking is a deeply personal matter for him.
